I am in this game of Life for the LONG Fun run, are You?

I recently had a bit of a scare with some uncomfortable symptoms and an ultrasound revealing an abnormal growth in my uterus.

I then had a hysteroscopy and biopsy done and finished off with a full D&C.

Thank God and all of my life time healthy habits and current life style, all results came back benign and just overgrowth of normal healthy cells.

I feel as though I have been given a pass card in the game of life for “GO” and the next 50 years will be the best of all if I just keep up with what I am doing and stick to my healthy principals of living.

#5 is now more than ever important I have found!  REST and getting a good 8 hrs of sleep is very important not only for recovery, but to maintain healthy hormone levels and body fat/weight (yes, you can lose weight with MORE sleep), AND play time!  Make time to play, have fun and LAUGH every day!

Use a Fork? Never!

Just as Mark Sisson talks about the Real Primal Grok eating with his hands only, I practice and teach here at camp to use chopsticks instead of a fork.  You can take this practice with you to any restaurant and not get any “OH my God, Oh my God, OH my God” type of looks.

Chopsticks have been around for 5,000 yrs where as the fork utensil is still in diapers.

Chopstick will force you to slow down your eating…and for me to appreciate every bite not shoveling in the food taking monstrous  totally disgusting bites.  (unless of course you are  scooping with the sticks instead of using them to take individual bites).

My challenge is for you to put away your forks and use chopsticks for the next month.

Eat slowly like it is your last meal to savor and not the first meal you have had in days.

Get yourself some of your own personal chopsticks to travel with.  REI has some cool ones and you can find many on ebay of course. ((or make your own))!

Retro-Raw Recipes (a new one every week)

Chocolate Avocado Pudding:

1 med.-large ripe avocado
enough water, raw milk or cream, or coconut cream to spin blade
2 Tb. raw honey or for preferred added sweetness
2 Tb. raw cacao powder
tsp. organic cinnamon

Opt. ad big slice organic papaya
if you want to use chocolate stevia that is good…then use less cacao powder and less honey
If you would like more avocado pudding flavors, just ask!

Kieba’s Fitness Flip:

1/3 C. Mineral water
1/2 C. Raw milk (cow or goat)
1-3  Raw free range eggs (the amt. is your choice)
1 Tbl. Raw honey
1 tsp organic vanilla powder or extract
cinnamon to taste or optional
I like to ad some ice to make slushy

note:  you can make most any flavor….try using mesquite powder or cacao, carob or maca.  Also liquid flavored stevia is great!

 
Raw Liver Pate’
 
5 oz grass-fed beef or free range chicken liver
1/2 small red or maui onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced or chopped
2 Tbls raw dairy cream
1 Tbls raw honey
2 mushrooms (opt.)
food process or puree’ up into silky  yummy energy producing pate’
